The Dental Assistant program at UEI College-Bakersfield provides comprehensive training for individuals seeking a rewarding career in the dental field. This program combines the flexibility of online learning with essential hands-on experience through twice-weekly lab sessions and an externship at a local dental office. Over approximately 10 months, students will delve into key areas such as dental science, chairside assisting, radiography, dental materials, and preventative dentistry. The curriculum explores specialized fields within dentistry, including endodontics and oral surgery, ensuring students gain a well-rounded perspective. Furthermore, students will develop crucial administrative skills, covering front office procedures and insurance billing. The externship component allows students to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting, solidifying their skills and confidence.
