The Dental Assistant program at UEI College-Riverside is designed to equip students with the comprehensive skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a dental office setting. This program offers a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on training, covering essential areas such as chairside assisting, radiography, dental materials, and preventative dentistry. Students will learn from experienced instructors and gain practical experience through an externship at a local dental clinic, allowing them to apply their skills in a real-world environment. The curriculum also includes a focus on dental ethics and jurisprudence, preparing students for the professional responsibilities of a dental assistant in California. With a program length of approximately 10 months, graduates are prepared for a variety of rewarding career opportunities within the dental field, including roles as dental assistants in general dentistry, oral surgery, and orthodontics.
