ATA College’s Dental Assisting program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in a dynamic dental practice. The program’s unique hybrid format blends the convenience of online coursework with the crucial hands-on experience gained in a state-of-the-art dental lab. Students will learn all facets of dental assisting, from preparing patients and taking X-rays to assisting with dental procedures and performing laboratory duties. To further enhance career readiness, the program incorporates Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) training, radiology certification, and valuable certifications like OSHA and CPR. Through a required 300-hour externship in a real dental office, students gain invaluable practical experience, working alongside dentists and dental assistants. This program prepares detail-oriented individuals driven to help others for a rewarding career in various dental specialties, including general dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, and more.
