Western Technology Center’s Dental Assisting program provides a comprehensive technical diploma designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in dental healthcare. This program goes beyond traditional chairside assistance, preparing graduates to actively engage with patients, promote optimal oral health, and assist dentists in a variety of procedures. The curriculum covers essential areas such as four-handed dentistry, dental anatomy, radiography, and infection control, all while adhering to OSHA standards. Unique to Western, students benefit from realistic simulation experiences in state-of-the-art Simulation and Extended Reality (XR) Labs, refining patient care techniques in a safe and controlled environment. Upon completion, graduates are well-prepared to pursue national certification and excel in various settings, including private practices, dental groups, and government agencies. The program’s focus on both clinical and administrative skills ensures that graduates are ready to contribute effectively to any dental team.
